pezhead
Hi there, I'd like some advice about whether I should stick my Corsair vengeance DDR3 2x4GB memory into my ASRock M3A77ODE motherboard. Currently the motherboard is running fine with 2x2 GB of RAM but I need more memory so I was considering swapping this for 2x4 GB (as I believe that it's not possible to fill all the slots with unmatched pairs? i.e 2x2 GB and 2x4 GB at the same time). Any advice/comments would be much appreciated. Regards, Pezhead
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted June 30, 2011 Corsair Employee Share Posted June 30, 2011 Corsair Vengeance modules are made for and tested on Intel Sandy bridge chipsets. They would be compatible with any MB using DDR3, but on AMD DDR1333 would be suggested unless you plan on over clocking and you may have to increase the memory voltage beyond what they are tested at to make them stable. But it should not hurt the memory up to a max of 2.0 Volts.
