Geordielander
Hi Guys, I have a CORSAIR Professional Series AX850 power supply and I want to protect my rig with a APC Back-UPS ES 700VA BE700G-GR, which can be purchased at a very reasonable price. I have read some rumors in the past that Active Power Factor Correction (PFC) designed power supplies does not like UPS, like APC designed ones. Any of you using such protecting device with your Corsair PSU? Is this problem still exist or just with some certain PSU models (like Chieftec)? All kind of help highly appreciated. Cheers, Geordielander
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted July 7, 2011 Corsair Employee Share Posted July 7, 2011 I would suggest using at least a 1000Watt APC or battery backup with this configuration and you only want to use Pure sign wave units with any PSU using PFC or current switching technology
