fa4960 Posted January 16, 2011 Share Posted January 16, 2011 Hi, I am considering getting the Vengeance 2 x 4GB 1600 Mhz (CMZ8GX3M2A1600C8) for a ASUS P7P55D-E PRO motherboard with an i7 870 CPU. These are not on the compatibility list so will they actually work with this MB? Also I plan to get a Noctua NH-D14 cpu cooler - can these ram modules be used with the Noctua? Thanks for your help. fa4960 Posted January 17, 2011 Author Share Posted January 17, 2011 I do not plan heavy overclocking so maybe I should actually ask whether I at all will benefit from the 1600 Mhz ram or could as well save the money and go with 1333 Mhz instead like e.g. CMX8GX3M2A1333C9?
