Wired
Hard to tell it's an industrial look with a close up of some scratches on a piece of metal :) Thought the dremel or whatever may have slipped :)

SmoothieX
Thanks guys! It's now on it's way back to Corsair ::pirate:: Why Corsair? They should have enough of them lying around, although I know this is beautifully modified. Why not send it to me?
EngineRoom3000
Oh God! I love your Mod! :P This is a wonderful mod to a beautiful case! I wish I had the facilities to machine some parts for it. Im planning to add some Vandal Resistant Switches to my case instead of the two buttons on top of my 600T; somehow Corsair didnt do that part justice. Id like to add a window to my case, and refining some of the looks of the case, but your Mod gets an A for creativity. I personally like the little door on the side for cable access, but if one was using the back cable management area to begin with, wouldnt that door be a little useless? It would have been interesting to see you make some custom door panels rather than attaching your plastic panels to the original doors; they stick out a bit (which seems a bit bulky). Any considerations for working with Carbon Fiber?
w00tie
If you're running a minimum of 7 drives, dude you probably need to buy a full tower case. I've seen one mid tower case that supports 8 to my memory, and that's pretty uncommon in and of itself. Every person is going to want different things in a case. In regards to 5.25" bays, some people want to put in memory card readers and touch screen fan controllers and others just like to have multiple optical drives. Failing that, the Corsair reps have said that we should be able to buy extra hard drive racks to go alongside the included racks in the near future, so you should be able to fit in 9-12 drives depending on if you can get 1 or 2 extra racks in. Failing that, you can get converters and other similar things that enable you to put 3.5" inch drives into the 5.25" drive bays. Failing that, you can buy pci-express ssd drives pretty cheaply these days. You can buy some kind of 5. 1/4 harddrives cage to have additional 4 drives taking 3 5.1/4 slots. What I really mis. is the space on the top .. I can't put a big 240 rad in it.. there is only like 35mm space and most performance rad are >4.5. The one i want to have is the Phobya G-Changer 240 which is 60mm. I will eventually mod the top but common.. 40mm more was really perfect.

rdeyoung
Most excellent skill my friend! A couple questions. I have on order the white 600T with the window built in. I plan on doing some modding later on - specifically having parts milled out like you did. But Im curious...how did you manage to get these parts to fit perfectly? I work in the CG industry and do some computer modeling myself - but even if I were to measure things out on the case exactly, there is still a chance it might not be accurate when it goes to "print." Did you model the parts in nurbs or polys? So how much does this puppy weigh after all the new parts?
Mnpctech.com
Hmmm, just measured the case with a ruler, rdeyoung. I don't recall everything adding too much weight. of course it's been a few months, sorry for late reply!
FantomAU
That is just PURE BAD ***, Great job. Love the red acrylic on the side panel. Did you think about cutting out acrylic on the swing door so you could see inside too?

wlw_wl
Anything will fit in it, you can move the HDD cages around which will give you about 50cm of room length-wise, I don't think the GTX 690 is that long? :)
