pbecker126
I have a case with an HX500. If I want to upgrade to an HX750 or 850 or 1000, can I just unhook the power cables from the HX500, slot in the new power supply and connect up the cables? That way I can leave the existing cables plugged into the mobo and hard drives and so on.
Yellowbeard
Absolutely not! DO NOT USE HX520 cables with any PSUs other than the HX520 or HX620. The only cables that will fit the other PSUs are not keyed the same and will damage anything you attach to them.
