ksyo
Newbie here (very 'green'), so here goes: I am building my very 1st computer and have bought all my parts. It's been so cool to this point! Doing initial research before putting it all together. I'll be using this mainly to do video editing (with Adobe Premiere 6.5 / After Effects 5.5 PB & my trusty Sony MiniDV Camera) and sound mixing and was curious about the ideal settings for my system. I know my RAM at PC3200 keeps me from doing any serious OC'ing, but any suggestions on settings/timings would be greatly appreciated. Lastly, it's probably a dumb question here, but if I start at the 'stock' settings at the beginning, does the computer do that automatically when I put it together, or do I set that myself manually? Here's my hardware: Abit IC7-Max3 P4 3.2C 800Ghz FSB, 512 Cache, HT Corsair XMS TWINX1024-3200C2PT 2 Seagate 160GB SATA HD's (Raid 0) A-I-W 9800 Pro Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Antec TrueBlue 480W PSU Zalman 7000 AlCu Arctic Silver 5 Antec P160 Case Plextor 708A DVD+/-RW Thanks!!!
