dcgtls
I have a Dell XPS 730x that currently has the stock memory (Micron Technology PC3-8500 1GBx3) and I would like to replace it with better RAM. I would like to have 6GB. The systemboard only has 3 memory slots. I did try the configurator but you have nor updated it to reflect the 730x model even though it has been out for a year now and has already hit EOL. The XPS 730 that is listed is a DDR2 system and the XPS 730x is a DDR3 system. What would be the correct memory for my system? I would at some point like to have the option to overclock it and also want it to have the coolers to help keep the heat dowm. Thanks
dcgtls
No-one? I just do not understand why none of the configurators on any site do not have this computer listed.
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted September 29, 2009 Corsair Employee Share Posted September 29, 2009 I am sorry but may not offer memory for that system if it is not listed on our memory configurator. I would suggest using the memory that the OEM suggested.
