Hi All,

Was copying over some photos to my plugged in 16gb GT Survivor Corsair USB Pen Drive, when I received a Delayed Write Error Message....And the USB Pen Drive was in Error...

On Rebooting All I can see is a Removable Drive, when I right Click Properties I can see only 0 Bytes/0 Free Space & File System Unknown, I beleive I have suffered catatrophic File Corruption or failure....

Help!!!! Have I lost All my Files..All 12gb's Worth!!!! Is there anyway of retrieving some Quite Important Files, which I need for Work....

Is My 16gb GT Survivor "Goosed"??

Need your advice, desperately

Regards

Grzyb

We can replace the drive for you, however we do not offer any type of data recovery software or services. If the data is important then you may want to review the article here: http://www.corsair.com/_appnotes/AN803_CommonIssues_HelpfulTips_DLoss_DCorruption.pdf. for some data recovery advise. You may also want to check out websites such as http://www.download.com and http://www.softpedia.com and search for "USB Data Recovery," to see if you can find some freeware/shareware that may help you recover the data. If all else fails then you may need to contact a local data recovery service center to find out if the data is recoverable.

I've tried a couple of Recovery Apps....

One of them said that the MFT Table was corupt & invalid.....Does Anyone know of a program which will revover or "Fix" a Corrupt MFT Table

Thanks for any Info

  • 2 weeks later...

I am thinking of sending the Drive away to see if they can "recover" some important files...If they need to "break" open the Drive to recover the files directly from the nand chip, how will this affect the warranty claim for a replacement Drive...

Thanks
