CJS
Hi, After running Memtest86, I received 1343 errors before test 4 completed. This is the second time I had Dominator memory fail. Twin2x4096-8500C5D DDR2 1066. Purchased 3/17/2009. Help please. Am I doing something wrong?
CJS
I forgot to add the rest of the components in the system. Motherboard: MSI P43 Neo3-F Processor: Intel BX80571E7400 Core 2 Due E7400 I've tried setting the memory to 5-5-5-15-2T as well as the default (slower setting) the motherboard wanted to run at. Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted July 6, 2009 Corsair Employee Share Posted July 6, 2009 Did you have the memory Voltage set to 2.1 Volts and did you test the modules one at a time?
CJS
Thanks for the reply. I just saw that Wired sent me a msg about that exact same thing. So here is what i've done. I swaped the memory out of computer 2 and put it in mine. Put my memory into computer 2. in less that 12 hours BSOD and random system locks. I went into the BIOS and checked the the ram voltage and saw that it was set to auto. I went and set it to 2.1 volts last night. System was still running this morning. So here is my questions. If the voltage is incorrect i'm assuming that I should set it to 2.1 volts. Should I also leave the memory set to the default of <auto> for the timings for the memory (both the dominator in computer 2 and the CM2x1023-6400C4 in computer 1)? Also, looking at the mother board specs the FSB/DRAM is set to Auto. I'm assuming it should be statically set to 1066/1066 or 800/1066. Is that correct? CJS
Computer 2 is still freezing randomly with voltage set to 2.1. Dominator memory running fine in my computer (Computer 1 with my PC Specs in my profile) with everything set to auto: DRAM Frequency - 399.0 MHZ FSB:DRAM 2:3 CL -5 tRCD - 5 tRP - 5 tRAS - 18 CR - 2T Computer 2 with CM2X1024-6400C4 has the following memory config: DRAM Frequency - 401.0 MHZ FSB:DRAM 2:3 CL -5 tRCD - 5 tRP - 5 tRAS - 18 CR - 2T Computer 1 has: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 Rated FSB 1064 MHz Computer 2 has: Intel Core 2 Duo E7400 Rates FSB 1069 MHz
