misbehave
Hi, I bought the TWINX2048-3200PT dual channel kit from newegg last week. However for some reasons the kit doesn't work with my P4C800 Deluxe motherboard. When I put one stick of ram into it and text it with memtext86+, there is no problem. But when I put both sticks of ram into it, the test crash at start. Is this a known problem between this ram model and this motherboard model? Will it be possible to do an exchange to another dual channel kit?
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted June 16, 2009 Corsair Employee Share Posted June 16, 2009 Please make sure that you have the latest BIOS version and then load setup defaults and set the Dim Voltage to 2.75 volts and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, and then test the module/modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure. But you may have to disable legacy USB when running a memory test on that MB.
misbehave
I think my motherboard is dead, so I guess I will be getting a new older model MB that let me keep using my other parts like video card and CPU, thus I have the following questions: Will this pair of rams (the TWINX2048-3200PT kit) works well with an ASUS P4V800D-X motherboard? When I look at the ram to buy guy from this website, it suggests me to get the TWINX2048-3200C2 kit. Is there any difference between the TWINX2048-3200PT and the TWINX2048-3200C2 kit?
