Deadbolt01
Hey guys, I Just ordered everything listed in my Computer spec. One of my good friends went over my list and told me that that the Corsair 750tx is "pushing it" with my current computer set up. What do ya'll think? My system which I’m about to put together today: I7 920 Dominator DD3 6gb's 1600 With Dominator Memory Fan Evag Mother X58 Mother Board Evag A1 Geforce GTX 260 Core 216 Video Card Western Digital 640GB 7200 RPM 32MB cache SATA 3.0GB/s Hard drive (Maybe another Hard drive at a later date) Cooler Master V8 CPU Cooler Samsung Black DvD writer with Light Scribe Samsung DvD Read Cooler Master HAF case So I did the help me pick a power supply unit and it told me to get the 650tx, after adding most of the numbers I knew how to add I decided to go with the 750tx instead. But now my friend who knows computer fairly well told me that I should go with something higher and nothing less then an 850watt. If I need to get something with more wattage I’d rather find out now and send to back to get the Corsair 850tx or higher then to under power my computer and have issues later. Thank you! What do ya'll think?
SlayVus
That'd be a great PSU for that setup. A 1000w+ would've been better in case you wanted to add more GPUs though.
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted February 2, 2009 Corsair Employee Share Posted February 2, 2009 I would say both the TX650 and TX750 would power that system without any problems.
