machtung
Hi, I've been having some problems with this setup. The symptoms sound to me exactly as described on this thread. I've updated to the latest BIOS but that didn't help much. http://www.asktheramguy.com/forums/showthread.php?t=72608 To try and get it stable, I plugged in the values from this thread manually even if the original poster was using a different product. http://www.asktheramguy.com/forums/showpost.php?p=344908&postcount=12 I did however notice though that when using the recommended mem timings on the BIOS it gave me 7-7-7-20, 1T. I know the modules are rated to 1600Mhz 9-9-9-24 but I'm perfectly happy running them at 1333Mhz since I have no intentions of OC'ing my Q9650 just yet. That being said, is there anything wrong or unnecessarily limiting with the settings I have now? I'd really prefer running everything as high as possible without having to overclock. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted October 3, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted October 3, 2008 No you should be fine and you can try them at Cas 7-7-7-21 if you like but I would suggest testing it both ways with command Rate set manually to make sure it is stable at 1 T Command Rate. Please use http://www.memtest.org to test the system.
