Arkhane
Hi, I've just bought 4GB of RAM (TWIN2X4096-6400C5DHX) and I had to enable the memory mapping in the BIOS to see the 4GB of RAM. I've check before buying my memory and it listed my motherboard (Asus P5B Deluxe WiFi) to be compatible with those memory. I am also using Windows Vista Ultimate 64bit. My question is: Is enabling the Memory Mapping in the BIOS the only way for me to be able to see 4GB of RAM? Does using the Memory Mapping somehow affect the effectiveness of my RAM? Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted February 7, 2008 Corsair Employee Share Posted February 7, 2008 Yes it will change the memory mapping so a 32 or 64 Bit O.S. can see it properly respectively, but will not affect any performance.
