jonossi Posted January 13, 2008 Share Posted January 13, 2008 Hi there the ram guy and all others, can i be helped?XMS2 4x1Gb PC6400 C4, 800MHz (2 packages(4gb) of Corsair XMS2 PC6400 C4), tried the first set worked fine as a pair(2gb , switched to 4gb blue screen is all i get, so went back to just 2 gb and now its unstable and freezes on desktop and the odd blue screen, im know expert so some help would be great, im running q6600@ 2.9 ghz, asus striker extreme mb, 1000 watt coolermaster , nvidia gtx 8800, wd raptor x 150 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted January 14, 2008 Corsair Employee Share Posted January 14, 2008 With 4 modules you have to set the memory frequency at DDR667 and I would set the memory Voltage to 2.1 Volts as well and set the NB/MCH to +.05 Volts. Also if you are running Windows Vista; You'll need to install MS patch 929777 from Microsoft for more than 3 GIG in Win Vista. You can search for it at http://www.microsoft.com.
