Medieval Nerd
Hey all, Finally got my Nautilus 500 got home and opened the box. Took the Nautilus out and ...*rattle* ?? When I would shift the Nautilus 500 I could feel in the front part of the nautilus some plastic/metal object loose inside. I guess this is not normal right? Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted January 4, 2008 Corsair Employee Share Posted January 4, 2008 Have you installed the unit yet, or are you just shaking it?
Medieval Nerd
No it's not installed and it won't be! :P I simply removed the nautilus from it's box and right away, i felt something inside moving. Like a little piece of plastic or metal. I would have to open the terminal but that would void the warranty. :(
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted January 5, 2008 Corsair Employee Share Posted January 5, 2008 I would recommend installing the unit outside of the case, just powering the unit with a molex connector from your PSU (don't actually mount the water block on the CPU). Fill the unit with fluid (follow the included directions) and then boot the system to power the Nautilus and see if the rattling goes away, or if it effects the unit at all. If it is still rattling or there appears to be any problems then lets get it replaced, please use the On Line RMA Request Form and we will be happy to replace it. Medieval Nerd
Thanks for the help, but the store I ordered it from agreed to exchange it at no extra cost. :) Aniways, I couldn't install the nautilus 500 inside my pc, since I'm waiting to get my Lexa Blackline case which has pre-drilled water cooling holes with nice rubber plugs that wont harm the tubing. :) Cheers!
