dougsherwood Posted March 8, 2004 Share Posted March 8, 2004 I bought the following Corsair memory about 10 days ago: Corsair TwinX 512M DDR400 matched pair (2pcs. TwinX CMX256A-3200LLPT) Now I have problems, WinXP reboots randomly and memory failures using Memtest-86 v.3.0 I found that if I lower the speed in the bios from 400mhz to 333mhz (320mhz for this board), it passes the memtest tests. Did I get some bad memory or is it incompatible? I can return it to the store I bought it from for exchange but, I am wondering if I will have the same problem again. According to people in another forum, this memory likes to run at 2.7 volts, my board only supports 2.6 volts. :sigh!: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted March 8, 2004 Corsair Employee Share Posted March 8, 2004 You should not have any problems, but you will need to install the latest bios for this MB and then load setup defaults and in fact if you have not done that, I would suggest it before you send these back.
