Ziko
I recently bout an eMachines T5230, and I thought I'd buy 2x1GB of Corsair ram (XMS2 PC-6400, DHX, latency: 5-5-5-18) and I installed them on my computer. The next day, When I would try to install any program, it would freeze in the middle of the installation. I took out 1GB of ram and it worked fine. So I thought it might be a bad ramstick, but it turns out it isn't; I replaced the stick with the unused one... It still worked. Then when I would put both of them back in, the pc would freeze and I would I have to restart. Any help is appreciated!!!
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted December 14, 2007 Corsair Employee Share Posted December 14, 2007 Please make sure you have the latest BIOS and then load setup defaults with both modules installed and test the system with http://www.memtest.org if the system passes but you still have problems with Windows try and set the memory Voltage to 1.9 Volts.
