billyboyd Posted December 12, 2007 Share Posted December 12, 2007 Hi, I've had the Corsair HX620 power supply for just over 7 months now but these past couple of months i've noticed when i switch it on i occasionally hear a loud pop. The pop sounds a bit like a cheap set of speakers when you switch them on. I can't see any spark or smell anything nasty when it does this and my computer operates normally all day long without a hiccup. This pop when i switch on doesn't happen all the time, i'd say roughly 2 in every 20 times i switch on. Oh and when i say switch on i mean at the back of the comp on the power supply and not on the front case switch. When i press the case switch my comp boots and operates normally.
