feeynx360
I have noticed that my new Corsair 620 tick very loudly during boot up then eventually goes away. It is quite cold in the room also. Is this a problem?
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 4, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 4, 2007 It should not be a problem, however are you sure it is coming from the PSU? You might try the test here:http://www.asktheramguy.com/v3/showthread.php?t=63991, and see if you are still getting the same sound. Although the ticking should not damage anything, the PSU should not be ticking. If you would like to get it replaced, then please use the On Line RMA Request Form and we will be happy to replace it. feeynx360
Under heavy pc load I am seeing a major voltage drop in the +12v. Is this normal? http://i238.photobucket.com/albums/ff43/feenyx360/voltagedrop.jpg
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted December 5, 2007 Corsair Employees Share Posted December 5, 2007 If that were an accurate reading the system would have shut down. BIOS and software voltage measuring utilities can be off by quite a bit. To know the true voltage reading on the 12v rail you would need a digital multimeter.
