Zonation
Hello all, I'm planning on building this system next week (I'm a first time builder) CPU: Intel C2D 6850 3.0Ghz MB: Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L Mem: TWIN2X2048-8500C5D VC: EVGA 640MB 8800GTS SSC I was just wondering if anyone has had any compatibility issues with that mobo and memory? Are there any special tweaks or settings I should take into account when setting up my system? Do you think I would need more fans/extra cooling for the memory? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
DerekT
This will work fine. Keep in mind that if you decide in the future to populate all four DRAM banks to achieve 4GB, then you can have issues. If you intend on future upgrades of the DRAM, then I advise you to move to 4GB and 6400C5DHX now to forestall the very likely issues that populating all four DRAM banks returns. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted March 12, 2008 Corsair Employees Share Posted March 12, 2008 I would suggest using Twin2x4096-6400C5DHX or Twin2x4096-6400C4DHX with that system.
