kev12mich
So, my HX620 was recently delivered and I noticed a loose piece rattling around inside of it. I managed to shake it out through the fan grill. It's a small piece of plastic with a dried paste or something on it. Obviously it must be shielding something I would think. Am I fine without it? Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted September 25, 2007 Corsair Employee Share Posted September 25, 2007 If this was a part of the PSU then let's get it replaced. Please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part! Or *New* Tech Support Express” and we will be happy to replace them or it! Please make sure you let them know you are from the forum!
kev12mich
Does it matter if I still have the UPC attached or not? I cut it out for a rebate, but I haven't sent the rebate in the mail yet, so I still do have the UPC in my possession. Also, I have tested the PSU and it does seem to work fine, I'm just worried that with this piece missing that it is more vulnerable.
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted September 26, 2007 Corsair Employee Share Posted September 26, 2007 The UPC is not necessary to get the item replaced.
kev12mich
If the UPC is not required, can I mail in my rebate right now, or do I need to remove the UPC from my replacement?
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted October 1, 2007 Corsair Employee Share Posted October 1, 2007 Yes, you can mail the rebate in now.
kev12mich
When is the latest that I can send in the PSU for the replacement? Is there a set period that I need to have it in by after getting an RMA# assigned?
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted October 2, 2007 Corsair Employee Share Posted October 2, 2007 Usually an RMA# is active for about a month, however if yours becomes inactive we can get you a new one.
