FPSMAD
I have just bought a Corsair 620w and I am amazed to see the rails are not labelled. I have looked at the sticky thread entitled What rail does what but unless you give us an indication as to what red blue and green means how can we tell what does what ?? Maybe I have overlooked something but I am  if I can tell.
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted July 31, 2007 Corsair Employee Share Posted July 31, 2007 The wires on the PSU are not color coded so I am not sure that would do any good. But the wires on all PSU's will be the same. You can get the Color Coding from this link and I have attached a Picture of the label from the PSU's
EliteKiller
I have looked at the sticky thread entitled What rail does what but unless you give us an indication as to what red blue and green means how can we tell what does what ?? There is no OCP on each rail so think of it as one giant 12V rail. It doesn't matter which plugs and sockets that you use on the psu. From the FAQ at the top of this forum: Keep in mind that if one rail is overloaded, the power supply can draw power from the other rails in order to balance that load. This is done internally and automatically.
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted August 1, 2007 Corsair Employee Share Posted August 1, 2007 That was done with the ATX 2.1 Spec as there were Video Cards that required more than 18 Amps.
