moto377
I have a question regarding compatibility between revisions. I just returned CM2X1024-8500C5D rev. 1.3 to Corsair for a RMA replacement. I am currently waiting for the replacement pair. In the mean time, I ordered and received another set from newegg.com. I noticed that they are rev 1.2. If Corsair returns to me the same rev. 1.3 and the other set I have is 1.2, will there be compatibility issues between them? What is different about them? Thanks, Wayne
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted July 19, 2007 Corsair Employee Share Posted July 19, 2007 No there will be no issue they are made with the same IC, only the BUILD is different. In other words there is so minor difference in the Bill of Materials is the only difference. However, if you are trying to run 4 modules depending on your system configuration you might be limited to DDR667 or DDR800 with 4 modules installed.
