iisabrane
Hi, I just purchased a 520hx and plan on using it for a new build. Before plugging everything in, I usually use a cheap power supply tester to make sure the PS is working ok. I've always used cheaper power supplies like enermax and thermaltake stuff and they tested fine. However, when I tested this one, the -5V was not running but the +5V was. I was just wondering if this was something I should be worried about or if I should just connect everything and just start it up. Please chime in if you have any knowledge on this stuff. Thanks! Garvin
As a side note, it's been a long time since any components in a PC grabbed power from the -5volt rail. It powered ISA bus cards and early PROMS. It was kept around so long just for backwards compatibility.
