Newguy44
I have an IBM 8189-DE4 M50 Desktop and want to add some RAM. I was told by IBM support that I should purchase PC3200 PN 22P9272 1GB 400Mhz DIMMs from Lenovo, but pricing there is $129.95 each. The Corsair configurator told me I should purchase 80059-21 VS1GB333 DIMMs (PC2700 - 64x64) at $75.00 each. Can I purchase the Corsair 80098-34 VS1GB-400 Mhz DIMM (PC3200 - 128x64) instead (at only $57.90 each) for use in the 8189? Will they work? Any drawbacks?
