davidcapi
I need to buy a microATX board for C2D processor, 4 Dimms, 1 PCI-Ex16, 2 PCI but the intel and Asus models seems to be compatible only with 1.8v ram and my ram is TWINX2048 6400C4 which is running at 2.1v in my current 680i sli mobo. Any suggestions apart from changing ram???
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted May 4, 2007 Corsair Employee Share Posted May 4, 2007 Please look up your system on our memory configurator and use one of the modules that listed. But if you don't have the option to set the memory voltage Our Value Select will be the only choice.
davidcapi
I just tested my TWINX2048 6400C4 at 667Mhz 4-4-4-12 1.8volts and orthos runs fine. Would u give me green light to go ahead and use this memory on those mobos with 1.8v support only with the above settings? Maybe i can lower timings and use 1t because of lower Mhz. Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted May 4, 2007 Corsair Employee Share Posted May 4, 2007 Should be fine at 4-4-4-12@667MHZ 1.8v but no guarantees since this is not what we test the RAM at. Increase the Cas Latency to 5 if you experience errors.
twiSted1
check my profile and see the timings i was able to get my C4 at 667mhz orthos stable for 24 hrs+.
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted May 8, 2007 Corsair Employee Share Posted May 8, 2007 If its passing Orthos you should be fine but I would suggest setting the memory voltage to 1.9 Volts.
