Failing memtest86

Recommended Posts

I have 2 sticks of mxs pro and 2 xms non pro. I can boot into windows fine but if I go to run an intensive program like a game I run into errors. I decided to test me memory and got errors. I then removed the 2 pro sticks as they were new to my system. Retested and no errors with my regular xms. I removed those and reinserted the pro's and got errors again. Is there a compatibilty issue with the pro's and my system: Opteron 165, MSI K8N Neo4, Nvidia GeForce 7600gt or is the memory going bad? Thanks,

Jason

I am sorry but with this system you cannot Mix memory all of the modules would need to be the same part# and revision. With just the new modules in the system please load setup defaults and then set the tested settings for the specific modules you have Voltage and Timings and then test with http://www.memtest.org.
