zoi.demos
I have two cmx512-3200xlpro's. I tested both of them with memtest and received many errors for both. I tested each by itself and still received many errors. I have had these memsticks for about a year. May I RMA them please? I have been forced to take sticks out of my old desktop to use my computer temporarily. Thank you for your time.
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted December 12, 2006 Corsair Employee Share Posted December 12, 2006 Getting errors with both modules would suggest some other problem. Can you tell me the make and model of MB you have along with the CPU speed and it’s FSB as well? In addition, please tell me the bios settings you have set for both CPU and memory and any performance settings that you may have set?
zoi.demos
They are two sticks of cmx512-3200xlpro's. PC3200 - 512MB -- DDR400 My cpu is a pentium 4 3.4ghz w/ 800 FSB Extreme Edition. Neither my memory nor cpu is overclocked. All bios settings are turned to standard // default settings. I have an Asus p4p800-E deluxe motherboard. When i switched memory sticks, all the problems disappeared. When I use either of the memory sticks alone or together, the computer freezes, crashes, and mem test fails horribly. Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted December 12, 2006 Corsair Employee Share Posted December 12, 2006 With that MB and these modules you have to disable legacy USB in the bios when running any memory test and with these modules you should set the memory voltage to 2.75 Volts minimum!
