Sekko
Hi all! I have a problems powering on my system since I installed my new Corsair HW520 PS. When my system is turned off for longer then 5 minutes an I press the powerbutton nothing happens. When I press it an second time right after the first try my system turns on. My system turns also on when I hold the powerbutton a little bit longer pressed (aprox. 2 seconds) after releasing it. My old PS had no problmes like this! :-( Is this normal for the Corsair PS (is it overpowered ;-) ) or is it a reason for a RMA? Thx for help! Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted September 19, 2006 Corsair Employee Share Posted September 19, 2006 There should not be any problem, when you turn off the system are you turning off the power to the PSU?
Sekko
No, I only turn off the system using the powerbutton in my case or by saying in the windows dialog "turn off my system".

Sekko Before you RMA it, please try the latest BIOS for your motherboard. Your board is an A7N8X, right? That's a bit older and was made before the latest ATX 2.01 spec was finalized, so it's possible they fixed any compatibility issues in a later BIOS release. Sekko
Thx a lot for help! There is no BIOS update for my board :(: When I RMA it...does the Tech Support send me a new PSU before I must send my defective unit back?
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted September 21, 2006 Corsair Employee Share Posted September 21, 2006 I am sorry but you will need to send your PSU in first!
