RonPrince
Hello all I'm a Graphic Designer who's hoping to do a total overhaul of my rig in the next week or so and i've sorted out pretty much everything except the RAM. The machine will be used primarily on Adobe and Macromedia Aps but more than likely will get a bit of gaming use too :): i hope to be getting: Motherboard: ASUS A8N-E SKT939 CPU: AMD ATHLON64 X2 4600 Video: Gecube Radeon X1900XTX Power: SILVERSTONE 600W or a THERMALTAKE 680W (depending what's in stock) I've looked at both the PC-3500 2048MB CORSAIR TWINX PRO and the PC-4000 2048MB CORSAIR TWINX, and i understand both will run in the ASUS motherboard the question is what will be better? I have friends who have build systems and will be getting their help setting everything but i have no prior history in building/setting up/overclocking systems so major concerns here are: performance and usability. any and all help much appreciated
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted March 2, 2006 Corsair Employee Share Posted March 2, 2006 Sorry for the late reply! I would suggest Twinx2048-3500LLPro for best performance, as I am not sure the CPU you have will over clock that well to run our XMS4000 modules.
