SharpStick
Just finished talking with a tech at Corsair Support. I have a new system build underway and want to move a pair of existing TWINX1024-3200LLPT modules to the new motherboard - ASUS A8N32-SLI. I'd like to go to 2GB but it appears that it is no longer possible to buy additional pairs of the same product. The Corsair tech told me that they cannot recommend mixing any other *current* memory product for compatibility reasons. Bottomline - I have to ditch $300 worth of RAM in order to upgrade to 2GB? Somebody say it ain't so.
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted February 14, 2006 Corsair Employee Share Posted February 14, 2006 That's a limit of the memory controller with this platform; where as all of the modules would need to be exactly matched. In addition we will not suggest more than 2 modules in any platform for best performance, now you are welcome to try anything you like, but its not suggested to mix memory with this platform.
