jondr
I'm pretty sure I have a bad memory module. I bought a 2gb kit (two 1gb modules) a few months ago. I recently started getting stability problems. I ran memtest86 and got tons of errors. I've tried switching out the two modules and testing each one seperately. I get consistent errors with one module and no errors with the other module regardless of which slot I put it in. Is there anything I am overlooking or should I just RMA it? Thanks, Jon
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted February 9, 2006 Corsair Employee Share Posted February 9, 2006 Can you tell me our modules part# (How To Read the Memory Label) and the make and model of MB you have along with the CPU speed and it’s FSB as well? In addition, please tell me the bios settings you have set for both CPU and memory and any performance settings that you may have set?
jondr
Now the second module in this kit has gone bad. The first one I RMA'd and receive a replacement which is still good. I have tested the second module in different slots, etc. Any suggestions before I RMA this one too?
