Zarium
System Specs: Athlon XP 3000+ (400FSB, not OCed) Antec 500w PSU Asus A7N8X-E Deluxe Mobo 2xSATA HDs nVidia GeForce 6800GT RAM: 2x Corsair Twinx XMS CMX512-3200C2PT (2x512MB) Memory fails boot when both sticks are in, both dual channel and non-dual channel modes. Ran Memtest86+ with both sticks in, non-dual channel mode; 300,000 before 20% done with the first pass Ran memtest with dual channel, same ammount of errors in time. Ran individual tests, found one stick to be really bad and another to pass memtest. Fresh install of XP now fully operational with my backup RAM, memtest passes so the mobo seems to be fine. Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted February 1, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted February 1, 2006 Please set the Dim Voltage to 2.7X volts and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, and then test the module/modules one at a time with www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure.
