DPRVig
Hi, I have just bought myself a computer a few weeks ago with the following parts, in my specs area, and everything was running fine until I started to play some games. FEAR, Guild Wars, and WoW have all crashed while playing. I do know that I get a blue screen which references the memory. When I reinstalled Guild Wars it told me "The instruction at '0x0069829C' referenced memory at '0x3C000400' the memory could not be 'read'." I ran memtest with both sticks in and recieved 149 errors in test 5 and 2 errors in test 8. When I ran each stick individually, I recieved no errors. Everything in my bios is set to default. When I am not running intensive software, my comp runs like a dream, but the intensive programs cause it to crash from 3mins in to 2hrs of gameplay. When I did run my comp with just one stick I could play WoW for several hours without running into any problems. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanx -DPRVig
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted January 6, 2006 Corsair Employees Share Posted January 6, 2006 Please set the Dim Voltage to 2.7X volts (+.2 Volts W/Giga-Byte) and then set the timings manually to the tested settings for the specific module you have, XMS2700C2 Cass 2-3-3-6 for example or if you have Value Select "BY SPD" and then test the module/'s one at a time with www.memtest.org! If you still get errors, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! However, if you get errors with both modules that would suggest some other problem and I would test them in another system or MB to be sure.
