andirus
I bought a RAM module on September, but when I tried to install it Windows gave me an error message saying that a file (ntfs.sys or something like that) was corrupted and when I tried to install it on the other slot on motherboard the computer didn't work at all! Jabberwok
That's two different problems. The NTFS.SYS file is for your hard drive. First, You will have to test your ram. Make a floppy to test with memtest86 then make sure your ram is properly seated in each slot while you boot with the floppy in. Since you say that the ram worked in one slot & not in another try the one that worked first. If the defective slot still dont work & the one that worked still does then that probably means that your motherboard has bitten the dust... So, test your ram first & then we will work on your 2nd problem ok?
