zx-ice
All, I've got a DFI Ultra-D with 2xmatched CMX512 sticks of RAM and an A64 3500 Winchester. I have had no success running 1:1 at anything above 220 on this set up. I have tried to run at 220 x 6 (and less). The processor will run at 2.9Ghz without any problems at all using a divider. My mem settings are 3-4-4-8. Anyone with a similiar spec. or any ideas greatly appreciated. Thanks.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 2, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 2, 2005 I am sorry but that is normal and a limitation of this platform. You can try and set the timings to Cas 3-3-3-8 at 2.8 Volts and see if you get better performance.
zx-ice
By platform do you mean that this memory just won't work on this board?

zx-ice
Sorry RAM GUY. Are you saying that the DDR500 RAM that I bought for £££'s is only go to run at the same speeds or less than generic rubbish RAM? I.e less than the stated 500Mhz?? If so, it's moneyback time ! Thanks.
Corsair Employees RAM GUY Posted November 2, 2005 Corsair Employees Share Posted November 2, 2005 I am saying this is a limitation with the MB and CPU you have, maybe not the best choice of hardware. If the reselle will let you I wouold suggest one CMX1024-3200C2 for best performance with this MB.
