Vasilis07
I have the set CORSAIR PROFESSIONAL INDIVIDUALLY SLEEVED DC CABLE KIT TYPE 3. I'm thinking to replace my PSU Corsair AX-760 with the Corsair RM850X. But i want also to keep this sleeved cables. It's compatible the Corsair RM850X with this set ? muvo
Which RMx did you choose? From version 2021 (atx 2.4) it is a gen4 power supply and you have to replace the cables 😉

muvo
As you can read on the label on the power supply, it is a Gen4 power supply -> .RMx Series RM850x This means that you should no longer use the Gen3 cables or they are not compatible.
Vasilis07
ok. 1 more question. It will be good choice 850W PSU ? My new system it will be Z790 socket, i913900k with Corsair H100i Elite, 32GB RAM and RTX 3080Ti.
muvo
it depends on what you want to do. I switched from the HX850i to the HX1000i (2023) at Christmas. Because I want an RTX or RX 40xx or something similar. Let's be honest, the PSU isn't replaced every 2-3 years. So I'd rather go a step higher and then have less work because the GPU and CPU are crazy.
Vasilis07
ok. I will think the 1000W option.
