drkness
Hello, I have for the past 6 month used a matched pair of CM2X512-5400C4PRO in my computer with no problems. I have been running my computer overclocked and I was very happy with my computer but I decided to see if I could squeeze a bit more out of it. Now in my BIOS I had the memory timmings set by the SPD which was fine and my computer worked without any problems. I noticed on various posts and maked on the DIMMs that the memory timmings should be 4-4-4-12. Now I ran the CPU-Z program which I downloaded and on the SPD tab it showed the setting to be 4-5-5-15. So I thought that i'm not getting the best out of my memory so I went back to the BIOS and set the timmings manually to 4-4-4-12 @ 1.8V. My computer is running fine and I get no crashes or upsets. Please see attached *.png for CPU-Z info. Currently my system is running at: FSB 900MHz Mem 675MHz CPU 4057MHz My question is should I have my memory exchanged? Thank in advance, dRkNeSs
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted June 30, 2005 Corsair Employee Share Posted June 30, 2005 The timings should be manually set and the Dim Voltage should be set to 1.9 Volts minimum. You can follow the link in my signature for the tested settings.
