Virtuoso RGB Wireless XT - white noise while charging

Recommended Posts

I picked up this new headset, loving almost every aspect of it. I've noticed though static coming through the headset when it's plugged in and charging, not present at all when wireless.

If I charge through the USB port on my K100 keyboard I got a very slight ringing sound through the right ear cup, but not noticeable at all when listening to audio.

If I charge through my Quntis 5 port charger (https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B08L8W85QN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1) I get a massive sounding white noise through the left ear cup, noticeable when listening to audio.

Does anyone know of any fixes?

I bought a Corsair Virtuoso Wireless SE last year. Since now, it worked perfectly, but today, i got to my pc, started it, logged in, got my headset on ma head, and heared a buzzing in the right ear. It definitly was from the Charging port in the Headset, the USB-C port. I tried another cable, the one of my Phone, but it also didnt worked.... The sound is still there, and sometimes its like its fixed, but 2 mins later there is that buzzing again... The sounds only fixed if i unplug the USB-C Cable from my Headset, or if i start iCUE.. then its fixed, so probably you can try that too.. Just press your Windows key, type in ,,iCUE" and start that Software. For me, it helped, and that Sound was away! But i think its not away forever, sometimes i heared it again, but not that often!

Please go to CONTROL PANEL / HARDWARE AND SOUND / POWER OPTIONS and then click on CHANGE PLAN SETTINGS (for your current default power plan). After that click on CHANGE ADVANCED POWER SETTINGS.

When new window opens, scroll down the list a bit until you hit USB SETTINGS. Click little square with plus in it, and then click another little square with plus next to USB SELECTIVE SUSPEND SETTING. Check the state of it, and make sure it's set to DISABLED.

See if that makes any difference. Hope this helps.

Dear Corsair,

I've been having the same issue with my corsair virtuoso. However, this method does not seem to work for me, as the state of the usb suspend setting is already disabled. Pressing the mute button for 15 seconds seems to help for when the sound is present and the headset is not charging. However, when I am charging my headset, it still makes the sound. As someone who is sensitive to sounds I cannot play on my pc anymore when this sound is present.

What can I do to fix this issue?
