stevecs
I have an Asus P4C800 board running w/ (2) TWINX1024-4000Pro sticks today at 250mhz and the system is rock solid. I am looking to increase this to 2GB of memory and was looking to purchase another pair of the same memory. However I have not seen any reviews/benchmarks or anything on the net that shows how a system would perform (or degrade) when using 4 sticks opposed to two. Will this have any affect on the max memory bus speed settings? Steve
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted May 6, 2005 Corsair Employee Share Posted May 6, 2005 Yes it most definitely would. You may not be able to over clock as much with 4 modules if any at all. Because there is more loading on the chipset and CPU as you add more memory and they will not over clock when fully loaded.
