sh1ng3n
Hi guys, I'm an happy user of Corsair CMK16GX4M2B3000C15 (2x8Gb). I used on a Gigabyte AB-350M X370 MB With Ryzen 5 2400G and now on Asrock B450M Steel Legend with a Ryzen 5 2600X and Nvidia GTX 1050Ti. I would like to add other 2x8 GB CMK16GX4M2B3000C15 to bring ram to 32GB. The CMK16GX4M2B3000C15 is not on the QVL of my MB but operates very well. Someone had tested a 4 rank setup on a B450 mb with the same ram model? Should I risk to buy another kit of CMK16GX4M2B3000C15 or directly replace with 2x16 GB modules? Thanks in advance. Corsair Employee Corsair Notepad Posted February 18, 2021 Corsair Employee Share Posted February 18, 2021 Mixing memory kits, even of the same part number, is not recommended as it can lead to compatibility issues such as system instability, prevent XMP from enabling, or even prevent your system from booting. If your intent is to upgrade to 32GB of DRAM it is our recommendation and best practice to purchase a single kit at the capacity and speed you desire that is listed on your motherboards memory QVL.
