sirphobos Posted April 30, 2005 Share Posted April 30, 2005 part number - VS512MB533D2 - Lot# 0447092-0. just recently started experiencing random reboots when system was utilizing large portions of RAM. ran memtest86 and memtest+ memtest86 never made it past the initilization test, memtest+ made it a bit further, but went into an infinite loop which never completed a single test. i also began to notice that windows xp would begin to stay at the splash screen. the blue progress indicator bar that generally progresses from left to right, kept going, but the HDD activity light ceased to continue loading. I pulled the second stick of ram, and noticed that (as of now) both problems have gone away. System: P4 LGA775 @ 3.0Ghz 1Gbyte PC2-4200 @533 ABIT AA8-Duramax ATI X700 Pro 256mb WD Caviar SATA 200GB Antec Neopower 480 PSU. All default settings. any help is appreciated. Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted May 2, 2005 Corsair Employee Share Posted May 2, 2005 Please make sure that you have the latest bios and then try and set the Dim Voltage to 1.9 Volts and test the modules one at a time with http://www.memtest.org. If you do find you have a failing module, please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it!
