Odin13
I ordered a stick of memory at Christmas through a local shop. System crashed on occasion but after a while I noticed it was only certain applications. I am running 1024MB with a matched set of CMX512-3200LL // 0428097-1 is failing Ran memtest. When both sticks are present, in any slot; test fails around 950MB. This stick in any slot on its own fails at roughly 450MB. The other stick works great in any slot. I am running: Gigabyte GA-7N400 pro2 nforce2 board 2500+ AMD Athlon XP Maxtor 120GB SATA LG DVD Burn ATI 9600XT 128MB Hercules Gamesurround Fortissimo III
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted April 25, 2005 Corsair Employee Share Posted April 25, 2005 Please set the Dim Over Voltage control to +.2 Volts and set the memory frequency ratio to 100% or DDR333. then test the suspect module with http://www.memtest.org. If you find the module is still failing them please follow the link in my signature “I think I have a bad part!” and we will be happy to replace them or it! If the module passes please imstall both modules in slots 2-3 and test then in dual channel at DDR333. You would only be able to run DDR400 with a 200 FSB CPU with this platform. Odin13
It failed and somehow corrupted the boot sector to windows in the process.
Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted May 2, 2005 Corsair Employee Share Posted May 2, 2005 Did you test them at the settings I suggested with http://www.memtest.org?
