dbmaven
Motherboard Manufacturer and Model: MSI K7T266 Pro2 BIOS Revision Number (if known): A6380VMS V3.5 CPU/Speed: Athlon XP 1800+ Power Supply Brand and Wattage: Antec 400W Operating System: Win XP Pro edit: System is protected by a 1Kva UPS system RAM: 2 x 256 XMS2400 Problem Stick: CM64SD256-2400C2 On the PCB: CORSAIR 50-00107 Rev A1 On an orange sticker: 145-300 109602 Problem: Started getting occasional BSODs about a week ago. Diagnostics led me to believe boot drive was either going bad or had a fouled up sector. Ran drive diagnostics - no issues. System would boot to Windows then hang loading startup items. Safe mode indicated on System screen that it only had 256mb of memory? Hmmm. Removed one stick - POSTs fine and starts to boot to Windows. Swapped sticks - no post. Infinite series of 3 beeps. MSI D-LED indicates "memory module damaged or not installed properly". Swapped to each of the other slots with same result. Memory purchased 10/18/2001 from Newegg - too old to RMA through them. Next steps for an RMA? Thanks in advance.
