carsadmin
Hello RamGuy: I am writing because a few months ago I had a pair of TWINX1024-3700 go bad on me. I wrote to you guys and got an RMA number and so on... I got a pair of TWINX1024-4000 back because I guess my 3700s are too old. That is fine with me. I have tried to use the ones I got, and I keep trying not to believe there is anything wrong with them but I have the following symptoms: 1. Freezing constantly, even in the BIOS screens, and in MemTest, just about anywhere. 2. No bootup, keep having to press reset until it comes up. As far as settings, I set the timings at 3-4-4-8 as instructed in the website. Also, voltage for the modules is 2.75v. I am not overclocking, and the board is an ASUS P4P800 Deluxe with an Intel 3.0e. All bios settings are conservative. In your diagnostic experience, could this be memory again? Do you need any more information? Could this be a bad motherboard? I would think that Corsair would test the 4000's before shipping. Your help is appreciated. Corsair Employee RAM GUY Posted April 19, 2005 Corsair Employee Share Posted April 19, 2005 That would suggest some other problem, and what was the problem with the old modules?
carsadmin
That would suggest some other problem, and what was the problem with the old modules? Actually, along the same lines. Random freezing.
