stilltravelling
Just wondered what your thoughts are on this? Only got the HX750 yesterday to replace an old AX860. I wouldn't mind a little noise, but this is giving me tinnitus. Is this a one off or do I replace it with something different? Corsair Employee jonnyguru Posted July 10, 2020 Corsair Employee Share Posted July 10, 2020 I've never heard one that loud. Are you sure there isn't a wire or zip tie hitting a fan blade?

Corsair Employee jonnyguru Posted July 10, 2020 Corsair Employee Share Posted July 10, 2020 I wish! It only kicks in when the GPU is under heavyish load. So does the fan. If you're convinced that that is coil whine, then do an RMA. I've never heard one that loud before.

Mussels
I'm getting this myself now off a HX750i, sounds just like these videos - only happens under certain GPU intensive loads, but with a water cooled GPU and USB controlled PSU fan its pretty easy to narrow down the cause of the noise In my case, with a GTX 1080 it only happened at super low load, high refresh rate scenes - like cutscene loading levels with no FPS cap. On my GTX 3080, it's under any heavy load... and it've run the PSU out of the case away from the system, its definitely the PSU and not the GPU
