TwinX 4400C25 & Epox 9NPA+ Ultra

Hi,

I was reading all threads about 4400C25 on this forum, and there are a lot of people that can't even touch high speed memory frequencies that those sticks are designed for in 1T command rate.

I explain : I bought an Epox 9NPA+ Ultra, 2x512MB of 4400C25 and a winchester 3000+ (XP90 thermalright + 92mm Enermax) and here are my results :

282 MHz @ 2,5-4-4-8-2T (CPU @ 282x7=1974 MHz HTTx3= 846 MHz)

262 MHz @ 2,5-4-4-8-1T (CPU @ 262x8=2096 MHz HTTx4= 1048 MHz)

253 MHz @ 2,5-3-3-7-1T (CPU @ 253x8=2024 MHz HTTx4= 1012 MHz)

Of course, my CPU can run 2500MHz @ stock voltage rock stable (2870MHz not stable), it isn't the limiting factor. I tried a 2,6 to 2,9v Vdimm range, nothing can help going higher.

How can you explain a so big difference with the x-bit results (300MHz @2,5-4-4-8-1T) ?

Please HELP !

First thing, you have a 3000+ CPU and they used a 3800+ CPU, that may be a reason. No 2 CPU's will perform the same and no 2 systems will perform exactly the same, even if you match the exact same configuration especially when over clocking. And since the memory controller is in the CPU you would need to use the exact same hardware (CPU, Video Card, MB and Memory and PSU) to verify the results.
