Kusanhagi
So, obviously from retails sites I see no difference between the two but does anyone at Corsair have an explanation for the 2 naming schemes on the same spec RAM? CMT16GX4M2C3200 vs CMT16GX4M2Z3200 any help would be appreciated.
emissary42
For an actual comparison you need to compare the complete modell number, not only a subset of it. There can also be differences that are not visible on a first look, like with some advanced timings and/or the general binning process and DRAM ICs used on them. Other then that, kits with the Z-revision in their model number are usuallly designed for AMD Ryzen based systems. The product page should reflect this with listing of supported chipsets/platforms.
