cmx1993
hello love community, I would like to buy the Corsair ml140 RGB fan but I do not want to use the Comandander pro but only build the fan to the h115i. Will the LEDs be lite?
c-attack
If you mean the ML140 RGB, it would probably be dark or spiral rainbow (or a mix of both). Since you have to buy two for the H115i, you might as well get the 2 pack that has the Lighting Node Pro and you can actually have control over it. That does require you power the RGB lighting hub, so it is not as simple as plug and spin. The alternative if you don't want the lights is to get the standard black ML140 Pro or plain grey ML140. Corsair Employees Corsair Lettuce Posted July 23, 2018 Corsair Employees Share Posted July 23, 2018 In the end, if you want the RGB features then you'll need either a Commander Pro or a Lightning Node pro. The Commander Pro does offer a little bit more control over the fans in terms of speed but the RGB is required for LED configuration as stated by c-attack. cmx1993
so I only need the commander per unit for the RGB control and do not need the additional node per unit?
c-attack
No, the minimum requirement is the Lighting Node Pro (LNP). That is your interface between fans and fan lighting, via the software. If you buy the DUAL pack of 140mm fans, you will get this for free in the box. The Commander Pro (C-Pro) provides the same lighting control interface as the LNP, but is additionally a fan controller and temperature probe hub. You get this if you want software control over all your system fan speeds. It is extra and not included in the fan kits.

As stated previously, you must use the Lighting Node Pro OR the Commander Pro. The Commander Pro is does the same thing as a Lighting Node Pro, but is also a fan controller. The Lighting Node Pro cannot control fan speeds. That may not be an issue if you are going to connect them to the H115i pump fan controller, but you must still have one or the other, plus the RGB Lighting Hub that is in the DUAL pack of ML140 RGB fans.
