nicotineman Posted February 12, 2005 Share Posted February 12, 2005 Hi, I have been having lots of system instability problems - blue screens, 'mem page' faults. Tracked it down to one stick of my pair of Value Select 512Mb (VS512MB400). Memtest reported loads of errors. Took out one stick and no errors. To make sure, tried the suspect stick on its own - loads (thousands) of Memtest86 errors. System runs perfectly with the one good stick in. Details: Asus A8N - SLI with all bios settings default. AMD Athlon64 3500 newcastle core at stock speeds. Inno3d Geforce 6800GT PCI-E at stock speeds Maxtor Diamondmax Plus 9 SATA/150 160Gb Windows XP Pro fresh install + SP2 + all updates.
